Our MWC Journey

Our time at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona was packed with exciting moments and opportunities to showcase our innovations to the world, connect with industry leaders, and share our vision for the future of indoor networks. Here’s a recap of the highlights of our week:
- Showstopper Event (Day 1): press everywhere
The first day kicked off with the Showstopper event. It was great to welcome an big crowd of journalists from all around the world, eager to visit the stands and learn more about the newest innovations in mobile tech. We were able to showcase our latest advancements to an enthusiastic global audience.
- Meeting with the Minister of Economic Affairs (Monday)
On Monday, we had the honor of meeting with the Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Beljaarts. We had an inspiring conversation about the benefits of Polymer Optical Fiber as the new copper-free indoor network standard. Great to have the minister as a special visitor at our stand.
- Dutch Government’s Sustainability Mission (Tuesday)
Tuesday was all about sustainability at the Dutch Pavilion. We were happy to participate in the Dutch Government’s Sustainability Mission, where we discussed the importance of sustainable technologies in the telecommunications industry. Tom participated in this session. It was interesting to broaden our knowledge around sustainability in telecommunications. Together we can make the change!
- GLOMO awards and NL Talk with Tom Runhaar (Wednesday)
Although we did not win the MWC GLOMO awards on Wednesday, we celebrate our nomination as an important recognition. The nominations in the Best Innovation for Climate Action and Best Digital Tech Breakthrough categories at the GLOMO awards reflect exactly what we stand for: innovation and sustainability. Proud to be standing next to parties like Huawei and BroadForward in this competition.
Earlier on Wednesday, Tom took the stage for the NL talk on sustainable indoor networks. We are on a mission to make indoor networks sustainable by:
- LED based data transmission – cutting energy consumption by 35%
- 90% less cabling than tradional UTP networks
- Live Interview with Mike Bakkenist (Thursday)
To wrap up the week, Mike did a live interview at the Cube, where he shared our vision, goals, and upcoming projects with a global audience. The live session was a perfect way to close out our time at MWC.
MWC 2025 was an interesting week of excitement, learning, and networking. We were able to showcase FiberUnlimited, engage with industry leaders, and contribute to important discussions about sustainability, innovation, and the future of mobile technology. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and all the new opportunities that will come with it!
